In the article, "Should Everyone Get a Trophy?" by Lauren Tarshis, she talked about how kids get a trophy just for showing up to team practices. Our school system decided more than a decade ago to pass kids on to the next grade regardless of how successful they were on their report card. Do you think kids should fail?
I think kids should be held back. If kids come to school and do nothing all day it will distract the class it will be harder to learn and concentrat. If you don't learn you will you will get bad grades and most likely fail that grade and you won't get a good education. and if you don't get a good education you probably won't get a good job. Employers are looking for people with a good education. If you have that you can be independent and easier to train.You will be more successful more successful in life.
When looking for a job your boss will not want to constantly tell you what to do that you can do on your own. If he/she has trouble reading you might not fully understand what you are doing you might hurt someone and you would most likely will get firered. employers will want you to be independent and be able to work by yourself without any help or someone to watch you to make sure you are doing it correctly. You probably won't want a low paying job for the rest of your life you would want to move up to a better higher paying job with benefits.
In life you will need to manage your bills and money
